PEDRO— This year’s graduates of Rock Hill have many memories they will carry with them following the graduation ceremony Saturday evening.

“My time here was great,” Laura Collins said. “I really enjoyed making friends and everyone in the class is really easy to get along with.”

Although Collins said she’ll miss Rock Hill, she is excited to be heading to Marshall University in the fall to study psychology.

Ethan Cade said the school’s positive feel was important to his experience at Rock Hill.

“There’s a very friendly atmosphere here with friendly teachers and students,” he said.

Cade has plans to attend Shawnee State University to be a nurse practitioner.

“I think this class has a big heart reaching out in the community with food and blood drives,” Kim Zornes, senior class advisor, said. “There are also 16 honor graduates with seven of those having the state honors distinction.”

Principal David Hopper knows the class of 2015 especially well after previously being the assistant principal of the middle school and then moving on to the high school with this class.

“This is a great bunch of kids,” Hopper said. “There’s lots of potential and a lot of kids are going to go on and do a lot of great things.”
