PINE GROVE — Here is your envelope and inside is your open invitation to join the Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association.

As the women’s group continues with their summer-long weekly Tuesday meetings for breakfast snacks, lunch and, of course, golfing events, they have extended an invitation to any women who would like to become members.

Meetings are at 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday but 9 a.m. when the temperatures are at their hottest. Golfing events start at 10 a.m. but will move to 9:30, again due to the weather.

Contact any member or merely attend a Tuesday meeting.

This week’s hostess will be Pat Lambert. Here are the results of the past five weeks:

April 28: Hostess: Joyce Lewis. Event winners: Betty Fraley (two events), Pat Lambert, Becky Dillon, Sharon Fox and Joyce Lewis.

May 5: Hostess: Betty Fraley. Event winners: Betty Fraley (two events), Pat Lambert.

May 12: Hostess: Sharon Fox. Event winners: Joyce lewis, Pat Riggs, Pat Lambert and Rose Auble.

May 19: Hostess: Pat Riggs. Events winners: Pat Lambert (two events), Pat Riggs, Betty Fraley.

May 26: Hostess: Betty Fraley. Event winners: Joyce Lewis (two events), Wanda Spears and Georgia Willis.

The clubhouse restaurant is now open to enjoy lunches. Weather delayed the opening day potluck.

The last group meal was tea and a Christmas dinner during the cold months of winter.
