For the third year, the Ironton branch Friends of the Library put on its Junefest craft show where a variety of items were for sale.

“We have this once in June and once in October,” Ruth Shafer, president of the Friends of the Library, said. “We usually have between 15 and 25 vendors.”

The vendors at this year’s Junefest were Angel Creations, Scentsy, The Cutting Edge, Angels Among Us, Connie’s Doll Clothes and Broidery, Chez Chic, Odds and Ends, Made with Love, Origami Owl, Not Quite Sane, Gifts by Shirley, Momma Duck’s Creations, Helen’s Handiwork, Pati’s Palette, Donna’s Doll Closet, Friends of the Library and a table selling homemade fudge.

“This is to make money for the library for things that they can’t afford,” Shafer said.

Some of the things the Friends of the Library has done with money raised from its craft shows are have plaques made with the names of donors, had the kitchen and break room remodeled and put a gazebo in the children’s department of the library, Shafer said.
