4 arrested in drug raid

A woman, her son and daughter, and another man were arrested Wednesday evening following a three-month investigation into the sale of prescription pills.

According to a press release from the office of Lawrence County Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson, the Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force and the sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at about 7 p.m. at 826 S. Tenth St., in Ironton.

The search revealed more than $5,000 in cash and 25 oxycodone pills.

Arrested were Paula M. Thibodaux, 45, Brandon L. Thibodaux, 29, Ashley N. Thibodaux, 24, and Terry Lee Corbin, 59. They were each charged with second-degree trafficking in drugs.

During the course of the investigation, officers conducted controlled purchases of oxycodone pills involving the four suspects, according to the release. Information obtained during the investigation indicated the pills came from the Detroit, Michigan, area.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned in Ironton Municipal Court today.
