Ironton man gets 4 years for selling heroin

An Ironton man will spend the next four years in prison after admitted to selling heroin.

Douglas Price Jr., 32, of 2205 N. Sixth St., pleaded guilty on Wednesday to five fourth-degree counts of trafficking in heroin and one third-degree count of trafficking in drugs, to which he pleaded not guilty.

Judge Charles Cooper also ordered the man to pay $7,500 in fines and suspended his driver’s license for one year.

In other cases:

• Ryan Russell, 27, of 304 Fourth Ave., Chesapeake, was sentenced to 36 months in prison. He previously pleaded guilty to two fourth-degree counts of trafficking in drugs.

Cooper also ordered the man to pay $5,000 in fines and suspended his driver’s license for one year.

• David Barbour II, 30, of 3858 County Road 70, Proctorville, was arraigned in a fifth-degree count of failure to notify change of address, to which he pleaded not guilty. Cooper continued bond from a lower court and added a $7,500 own-recognizance bond. A pretrial was set for July 1.

• Nicholas B. Blaylock, 30, of 832 County Road 15, South Point, admitted community control sanctions violations and was sentenced to 26 days in prison.

• Donald Malone, 58, of 93 Township Road 357, Ironton, pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree count of receiving stolen property. Cooper sentenced the man to seven months in prison.

• Tabitha Fulks, 38, of 109 Garden Court, South Point, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to 11 months in prison.

• Jason Thomas, 33, of 419 Vernon St., Ironton, was arraigned on a bill of information of fifth-degree possession of drugs and misdemeanor endangering children and abusing harmful intoxicants, to which he pleaded not guilty. Judge D. Scott Bowling set bond at $10,000 OR plus GPS monitoring. A pretrial was set for June 17.

• Zachary Morrison, 47, of 44 Township Road 1325, Proctorville, was sentenced to four year CCS under intensive supervised probation. He previously pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of theft.

Bowling also ordered the man to complete 200 hours community service and pay $2,250 in restitution.

• Joe Webb II, 37, of 14284 State Route 7, Proctorville, was sentenced to four years CCS/ISP for a fifth-degree count of theft, to which he previously pleaded guilty.

Bowling also ordered the man to complete 200 hours community service and pay $1.907 in restitution.

• Sarah Niece, 35, of 216 S. Fourth St., Ironton, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to 11 months in prison.
