Charles Chapman

Charles Elsworth Chapman, 71, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, at his residence in Ironton. Charles was born April 4, 1944, in Russell, Kentucky, a son of the late Russell Vonzo and Sarah (Ward) Chapman.

Charles was a 1962 graduate of Russell High School and was a retired styron operator for Dow Chemical.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Chapman and Vonzo Chapman; and two sisters, Phyllis McIntyre and Evelyn Ison.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sharon Chapman; two daughters, Amber (Paul) Tucker of Barboursville, West Virginia, and Amy (David) Gwinn of Crown City; two grandchildren, Blake (Brittany McKenzie) Chapman of Ironton, and Loryn (Adam) Crank of Ironton; one great-grandchild, Rylee Shay Howard of Ironton; two sisters, Sue (Roger) Clark of Flatwoods, Kentucky, and Grace Keesee of Summitt, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with brother Chad Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, Kentucky. There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
