PINE GROVE — Are the golfers yelling “FORE!” or “FOUR!”

With the addition of Diana Chamberlin and Carol McClain, the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club have increased membership by four over the past few weeks.

The fun-loving, laid-back group of women meet each Tuesday at 9 a.m. for a brief business meeting that includes breakfast snacks and is followed by golfing events at 9:30.

After a morning of golf, the group gathers for lunch and to announce the day’s event winners.

June 16: Hostess was Pat Riggs. Event winners were Pat Lambert and Rose Auble.

June 23: Hostess was Joyce Lewis and event winners were Pat Riggs, Pat Lambert, Connie Chamberlin, Dora Carmon, Rose Auble, Georgia Willis, Betty Fraley and Carol McClain.

Besides the group’s weekly outing, there are other events available. Members are reminded that the Handicap and Ringer tournaments remain in progress. For information, contact the clubhouse.
