CINCINNATI — As part of the ongoing ballpark improvements to be completed in time for All-Star Week July 10-14, the Cincinnati Reds are adding several amenities to enhance the fan experience at Great American Ball Park through new technological initiatives.

Highlights of the ballpark upgrades include:

Free Public Wi-Fi

Email newsletter signup

In conjunction with MLB, all fans attending games at Great American Ball Park can now enjoy free Wi-Fi service. The wireless network labeled “REDSWIFI” does not require a password to connect and is supported by more than 570 high-density antennas located around the ballpark.

In-Seat Pizza Delivery

Through a partnership between MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM) and Reds’ concessionaire Delaware North Sportservice, fans can now place mobile orders to have LaRosa’s Pizza and soft drinks delivered to their seats.

This innovative feature is available through the MLB.com Ballpark app for supported iPhones and Android smartphones throughout seating areas at Great American Ball Park.

Right Field Video Board

With the support of Procter & Gamble, a second LED video board has been installed above the Sun/Moon Deck seats in right field. The Daktronics video display measures 90-feet wide by 31-feet high will benefit approximately 7,500 seat holders who have a limited or obstructed view of the main video board in left field.

Hall of Fame Video Board

The Reds Hall of Fame is partnering with The Banks and Nicol Investment Company to have a new LED video board installed on the west side of the museum facing Freedom Way.

The 32-feet high by 19-feet wide board is being constructed by LSI Industries and will provide The Banks district with an exciting new entertainment element.

Speaker Replacement

This past offseason the Reds and Hamilton County replaced a total of 99 speakers throughout the ballpark.

The new speakers have improved the acoustics in the seating bowl, concourses and virtually all areas of the ballpark.

All of these new amenities are expected to be in place and functioning in advance of All-Star Week and the 86th MLB All-Star Game to be played on July 14.
