Chandler was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a police traffic stop in February 2014 in Lawrence County. Federal prosecutors say Williams and the vehicle’s driver were placed in the back of a patrol vehicle, where they tried to stuff 96 grams of heroin under the seat.

Prosecutors said the heroin was being transported from Detroit to Huntington. As part of his plea, Chandler admitted distributing heroin in the Huntington area.

Chandler faces up to 20 years in federal prison. Sentencing has been set for Oct. 5 in federal court in Huntington.
