Tamatha Maynard

Tamatha Kay Maynard, 43, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at her residence. The Huntington, West Virginia, native was born March 28, 1972, a daughter to Phillip Vernon Bowman Sr. and Reba Jean Backus Bowman of South Point.

Tamatha was a 1990 graduate of South Point High School, a former home health aide and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her companion, Gary Bryant.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, William Scott Maynard of South Point and Pvt. Kyle Lee Maynard of Ashland; a daughter, Arika Shae Maynard of Ironton; two sisters, Carla Miller and Julie Hall, both of Ironton; two brothers, Phillip Vernon (Sheila) Bowman Jr. of Coal Grove and Donald Bowman of South Point; and three grandsons, William Storm Maynard, Scott Thomas Maynard and Gabriel Dana McFann.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Haverhill Cemetery with pastor Mark Sparks and pastor Pat Burnett officiating. Betty Eldridge

Betty Jean Eldridge, 56, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born Feb. 19, 1959, the daughter of the late Charles and Glenith Smith Eldridge.

Betty attended Ironton High School, was a homemaker and of the Apostolic faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Glenna Sue Leach and Donna Faye Eldridge; an infant brother, Charles Eldridge; an aunt and uncle that helped raise her, Basil and Helen Smith

She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Eldridge Fritz (Jason Hill) of South Point; a son, David Eldridge of Ironton; and two grandchildren, Jaycob Fritz and Jason “Jayse” Hill II.

Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Paul Chinn

Paul Eugene Chinn, 67, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Friday, July 3, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. Gary Johnson

Gary Lee Johnson, Sr., 61, of Keystone, Florida, formerly of Proctorville, died Monday, June 29, 2015, at Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, Florida. Patricia Edmunds

Patricia Sue Edmunds, 70, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Richard D. Edmunds. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

 

 

Allen Humphrey

Allen F. Humphrey, 91, of Ironton, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Graveside service will be at noon Friday at Langdon Cemetery, Getaway.
