PINE GROVE — No one knows for sure what kind of gum Joyce Lewis and Pat Riggs chew, but it ought to be Doublemint.

Lewis and Riggs doubled their pleasure with a pair of event wins during play at the Ironton Country Club’s Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association regular meetings.

Lewis was a double-double winner as she won two events in each of the past two weeks. Riggs was a double winner the week of June 30.

The group has been enjoying the addition of some new members this year. Although there were not any new members recently, Mary Rogers was a guest participant two weeks ago.

June 30

Hostess: Georgia Willis. Event winners: Pat Lambert, Pat Riggs (two events), Connie Chamberlin, Joyce Lewis (two events).

Guest: Mary Rogers.

July 7

Hostess: Sharon Fox. Event winners: Wanda Spears, Sharon Fox, Joyce Lewis (two events).

July 14

Hostess: Dora Carmon.

Brief business meetings are at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays followed by golfing events at 9:30. Business meetings include breakfasts snacks and the golfing events are followed by lunch and the presentation of the weekly awards.
