Ice cream festival a success thanks to support

I want to thank our community for supporting Chesapeake United Methodist Church’s 11th annual Ice Cream Festival on Saturday.

The rain slid off to the east and west and gave us a great evening. The evening was rather warm, but that made the homemade ice cream even more delicious.

I want to specifically thank our door prize sponsors, who again provided wonderful prizes: Wal-Mart of South Point, Valvoline Express Care, Little Caesar’s of South Point, The Flower Shop, Advance Auto Parts of South Point, Chesapeake Giovanni’s Pizza, the Chesapeake Community Center and Krispy Krunchy Chicken.

I also want to thank Kevova First Baptist church for loaning their inflatables for the day, and Tim Ferran who brought us Leonardo the Turtle.

Finally, we are indebted to Howie Damron who offered us a rare and precious evening of great music in a very informal setting.

We do not raise funds or ask for donations in any way at the Ice Cream Festival. Each year we offer it as a love gift to our community, desiring to freely share God’s love with our neighbors.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the festival and made it the joyful event it is.

Blessings,
