Dick Kratzenberg

Ralph Richard “Dick” Kratzenberg, 80, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. He was born in Ironton on June 3, 1935, to the late Ralph “Doodle” and Elizabeth Dickess Kratzenberg.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph “William” Kratzenberg.

Dick was a graduate of Ironton High School. He was a retired Captain of the Ironton Police Department and retired as a Master Sergeant from the Ohio National Guard with 22 1/2 years of service. Dick enjoyed going to the track, spending time with his family, playing cards and being on the go. He loved sports and refereed high school football and basketball for many years.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Wanda Layne Kratzenberg, of Ironton; one daughter and son-in-law, Tracee and Charlie Tackett of Ashland; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richie, and Becky Kratzenberg, of Grayson, Kentucky, Scott and Sherry Kratzenberg, of Ironton, and Ryan “Jake” and Christy Kratzenberg, of Nazareth, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, Chad Tackett and wife Amy, Ashlee and Michael Kratzenberg, Jasmine Kratzenberg and Nick Kratzenberg, Chole Elliott Kratzenberg, Emily and Lucas Kratzenberg; five great-grandchildren, Caleb and Caylee Tackett, Trae and Colt Crabtree and Hunter Hopper; brothers, Robert Kratzenberg and wife Joan and Ronald Kratzenberg and wife Cindee; and many nephews and nieces

The funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with John Browning officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Ironton. Military honors by the Honor of Guard of the VFW Post 8850 in Ironton. Friends may call after 11a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Loretta Fairchild

Loretta Frances Fairchild, 87 of Raceland, Kentucky, died at home on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Worthington Nazarene Church, 920 Kentucky Ave., Worthington, Kentucky, with pastor Paul Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. Visitations will be at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Deborah High

Deborah Kay High, 60, of Charleston, West Virginia, died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at her daughter’s home. She is survived by her husband, Charles High. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Russell. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, is assisting the family with arrangements. Evelyn Kitchen

Evelyn I. Kitchen, 87, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Madison Park Senior Community, Huntington. She is survived by her husband, Jackie Lee Kitchen. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

 

 

Kelli Perkins

Kelli Ann Delawder Perkins, 43, of Ironton, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland. She is survived by her husband, David Perkins. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home South Point, with pastor Glen Carmon officiating. Burial will follow at Buckeye Cemetery, Haverhill.
