Petty theft — Rome Tire and Brake, Proctorville, Aug. 7, batteries from eight vehicles stolen.

Criminal damaging — Grandview Inn, Aug. 9, tires slashed on two vehicles.

Breaking and entering — Woodland Chapel Church, Ironton, Aug. 9, church broken into; nothing reported missing.

Petty theft — Walmart, South Point, Aug. 7, woman allegedly tried to steal bra; Lisa Hodge, 37, of 809 13th St., Kenova, cited to court.

Petty theft — Walmart, South Point, Aug. 7, man and woman allegedly stole items from store; Leora Porter, 33, and James Haney, 33, of the Country Hearth Inn, cited to court.

Petty theft — Marathon station, South Point, Aug. 7, woman allegedly took candles and cashews from store; Kelli Runyon, 29, of the Grandview Inn, arrested.

Cruelty to animals — Walmart, South Point, Aug. 4, cat left in vehicle; owner of car cited to court; Karen Estep, 57, of 1505 Lawrence St., Ironton, cited.

Domestic violence — A private drive in Proctorville, Aug. 5, woman alleged husband punched her in the head; negative contact with suspect.

Criminal damaging — 400 block County Road 1, South Point, Aug. 6, back glass of car broken.

Criminal simulation — Walmart, South Point, Aug. 4, four counterfeit $100 bills used at store.

Theft — A private drive in Proctorville, Aug. 4, dog taken.

Theft of motor vehicle — A private drive in Chesapeake, Aug. 4, car stolen from driveway.

Domestic violence — 10000 block State Route 243, South Point, Aug. 5, woman alleged boyfriend punched her and her 17-year-old daughter; Willis Childers Jr., 47, of 149 Township Road 1063, South Point, arrested.

Burglary — 1600 block County Road 123, Chesapeake, July 31, safe containing medication and jewelry taken from residence.
