Barrett Bollinger

On Aug. 11, 2015, at approximately 10:30 a.m. Barrett L. Bollinger, 77, of 434 Delaware St. Ironton, passed away at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Barrett Bollinger is survived by his son and caretaker, Aaron Bollinger, and two grandchildren, Bradley Aaron Bollinger; and Brock Edward Bollinger. He is also survived by his two sisters, Mrs. Jean Luke, of Pennsylvania, and Ms. Ruth Keller, of New Carlisle.

As a father, grandfather, and brother Barrett will be missed by those who knew and loved him. They are assured he is in a better place and in pain no more. Suzanne Wells

Oct. 30, 1949—Aug. 11, 2015

 

Suzanne A. Wells, 65, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday Aug. 11, 2015, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. The Ironton native was born Oct. 30, 1949, a daughter of the late John and Stella Smeltzer Abbott. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lawrence Wells, whom she married Feb. 14, 1970.

Suzanne was a graduate of Ironton High School. She retired in 2014 as an associate for Wal-Mart after 15 years of service. She enjoyed crafts, reading and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Robert Abbott; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Dan Morgan; son-in-law, Christopher Fuhr; father-in-law, Raymond Wells; brother-in-law, Tom Wells; and sister-in-law, Donna Douglas.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Kevin Wells, of Columbus; a daughter, Kelli Fuhr, of Ironton; mother-in-law, Mary Wells, of Ironton; sisters-in-law, Paula (Tim) Walters, of Ironton and Georgia Walls, of Arkansas; a brother-in-law, John Douglas, of Coal Grove; her lifelong friend of 55 years, Carol Taylor; and several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with Rex Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point and visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Betty Thompson

June 5, 1959—Aug. 9, 2015

 

Betty Jean Runyon-Thompson, 56, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at 5:35 p.m. in the Marion General Hospital. She was born in Ironton on June 5, 1959, to the late John T. and Lillian E. (Workman) Fraley. Betty married Gary A. Thompson in Marion on Sept. 17, 1999, and he survives.

Betty attended various churches through Marion, most recently attending the Covenant Fellowship Church. She had been employed for 20 years with the Wilson-Bohannan Lock Co., as an assembler and during that time also operated a self-employed cleaning business.

Betty is survived by twin sons, Brian Runyon, of Michigan and Ryan Runyon, of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Daphne (Jason)Loper and Amanda Thompson, both of Marion; a stepson, Chad Redmon, of Bucyrus; two brothers, John H. (Mary) Fraley, of Galion and Gary D. Fraley, of Coal Grove; two sisters, Linda F. Morrisey and Sharon M. (Terry) Crabtree, both of Marion; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She considered her fellow employees at the Wilson-Bohannan Co. her second family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Larry D. Fraley; and sister, Ruth Ann Fraley. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. on Friday. Officiating will be Dr. Rev. Michael Mohr and the Rev. Steve Jobe with burial to follow in the Meeker Cemetery.

Ora McCoy

Ora Lee Thompson McCoy, 80, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, in Heartland of Riverview. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
