Thomas Gladeau

Thomas Lee Gladeau, 57, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. The Lawrence County native was born Aug. 4, 1958, a son of the late Isaac Henry Gladeau and Peggy Kerns Gladeau Pinkerman, and stepfather, Ellis Pinkerman.

Thomas was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and of the Baptist faith. He had a strong passion for training dogs and owned and operated the K-9 Command Center, where he worked every day with dogs for over 40 years.

In addition to his stepfather, he is survived by son, T.J. Gladeau; two brothers, Ted Gladeau and Tim Gladeau; three sisters, Terri Fitch, Tammy Berry and Teresa Stout; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with pastor Dennis Hankins officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until the time of the service. Gary Carmon

Gary Lee Carmon, 68, of Ironton, passed away on Thursday, Aug.13, 2015 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Ashland. He was born May 29, 1947, in Lawrence County, a son of the late Howard Hunter Carmon and Rosemary Thomas Carmon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Lenore Harbolt Carmon and Brenda K. Brown Carmon; and a sister, Brenda Carmon Murray.

Gary was retired as a foreman from Higgins Chevrolet in Ironton and was a former employee of Graley Auto Body in Huntington. He was of the Baptist faith and an avid Ironton Tiger fan, loving father, brother, grandfather and husband. Survivors include his children, Mark Allen Carmon, April Dawn Carmon and Ashley Nichole Carmon, all of Ironton; one grandchild, Aley Carmon; three sisters, Diane J. (Charles) Waller, Janet Lynn Carmon and Melissa Gail Carmon; three brothers, Charles Steven Carmon, Howard Anthony (Linda) Carmon and Edward Ray (Elaine) Carmon; mother-in-law, Pauline Brown of Ironton; a special aunt, Juanita Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with pastor Scott Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Arlene Shore

Arlene Shore, 66, of Coal Grove, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at her residence. Arrangements are pending at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton.
