Arlene Shore

Arlene Shore, 66, of Coal Grove, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at her residence. She was born April 18, 1949, to the late Remus Tackett and the late Lillian Smallwood Pope. She is survived by her husband, Edgar E. Shore III, whom she married Jan. 2, 1971.

Arlene worked for the Community Trust Bank where she retired after 44 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Debbie (John) Akers, of Ashland, and Linda (Richard) Beasley, of Benson, North Carolina; one brother, Edward (Dorothy) Pope, of Erwin, North Carolina; and six sisters-in-law, Mary (Darrell) Hall of Ashland, Linda Shore, of Ironton, Carol (Frank) Ceballos, of North Hollywood, California; Jean (Charles) Payne, of Ironton, Ann (Charles) Robinette of Flatwoods, Kentucky, and Vickie (Russell) Carson of Waynesboro, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with Brother Chad Pemberton officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Terri Sexton

Terri Lynn Sexton, 53, of Willow Wood, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at the University Of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington. She was born Aug. 29, 1961, in Ironton, daughter of Dennis and Charlotte Robinson Miller.

She was an employee of St. Mary’s Medical Center for 30 years. She was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church and had recently been attending Perkins Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Brice (Rachel) Sexton, of Coal Grove; two sisters, Jami (Steve) Colegrove, of Willow Wood, and Lori (Terry) Martin, of Barboursville, West Virginia; three nephews, Seth and Nathan Colegrove and Jacob Martin; one niece, Maggie Tatum; and one great-nephew, Jonesy Colegrove.

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, Wilgus, by pastor Donnie Massie. Burial will follow in Wilgus Fairview Cemetery. Lucille Johnson

Lucille Johnson, 90, of South Point, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. www.slackandwallace.com.

 

 

Charles Huffer

Charles Lee Huffer, 54, of Darbyville, died Monday Aug. 3, 2015. Arrangements are pending at Brown Funral Chapel in Ironton.
