Ironton In Bloom needs your support

I have had to stick close to home since my husband’s slow recovery from surgery in December and have not been able to be an active member of Ironton In Bloom as I have in past years.
I could not, however, let the summer fade away without taking my hat off to this organization that has so improved the beauty and the spirit of our fair city. I thought the pots and hanging baskets were exceptionally pretty this growing season.
Although I haven’t been able to attend meetings, I remember from past summers that this is crunch time, time to make the large last payment to cover the cost of having kept the blooms watered and healthy throughout the summer, time to start thinking of funding for next year.
I hope those businesses who have pledged a yearly amount toward this worthwhile project will be sure to honor those pledges, and that individuals who have enjoyed the floral display will join in to make sure the cost of the project is covered.
It is supported entirely by donations. I commend those IIB officers and members who donate their time at no cost so that we all can be proud of our downtown streets.
If you would like to support their efforts, you may send contributions to Ironton In Bloom, Box 4599,Ironton, or donate through any IIB member. Many donors do this in memory of a loved one who has passed away or to honor someone on a special occasion. This colorful, lasting, and living reminder cheers both giver and recipient.
Say thank you to this hardworking group by supporting their efforts.
