In a continuous effort to make Ironton look more appealing, Ironton In Bloom is having its annual fall bulb sale.

“Every year in the fall, Ironton In Bloom does a bulb sale that’s a fundraiser to help pay for annual fees,” Ralph Kline, member of the group, said. “We’ll be selling bulbs for different kinds of flowers that bloom in the spring or summer, but need to be planted in the fall.”

Kline said that besides selling bulbs, people have also donated bulbs in the past, which will be used to decorate the downtown area.

“We would like to decorate all of Third Street downtown and some other areas like around the fountain,” Kline said.

People can buy bulbs to plant in their own gardens, donate old bulbs that they have or buy bulbs to be planted downtown by the group.

The sale is set for Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Ironton Farmer’s Market.
