Paula Hylton

July 4, 1958–Aug. 27, 2015

Paula Jean Holtzapfel Hylton, 57, of Sparta, Tennesee, formerly of Ironton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga, Tennessee.  The Russell, Kentucky, native was born July 4, 1958 ,a daughter to Norma Young Butler of Niceville, Florida, and the late Jerry Webb.

Paula was a 1976 graduate of Paul Blazer High School in Ashland. She received her associate degree from Marshall University in nursing.  She was a former LPN for Lawrence County General Hospital, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Riverpark Hospital in Huntington, Woodlands Retirement Community in Huntington and Rose Terrance Health and Rehab Center in Milton, West Virginia.  Paula formerly attended Sharon Baptist Church.  She loved Marshall football and exercise, but her true joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents,  Mary and William Holtzapfel; and maternal grandparents,  Edmond and Ernestine Young.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by daughter,  Maria Jean (Adam) Frazer-Fuller, of Proctorville; two sons,  Keith (Kathryn) Frazer and Todd Frazer, both of Ironton; five grandchildren, Brady McCloud, Ryan Frazer, Tatum Frazer, Alijah Clagg and Paige Frazer; sister, Joyce (David) Abbott Wolford, of Lavalette, West Virginia; two brothers,  Bill Holtzapfel, of Navarre, Florida and Allen (Sherry) Abbott, of Ashland; fiancé and love of her life, Joe Bob Kirby, of Sparta; niece, Jennifer Holtzapfel; three nephews,  Jarrod Moxley, Steven Moxley and Jason Holtzapfel; Johnny Abbott, of Ashland and Gary Butler, of Niceville, Florida; and a host of family and friends who will miss her

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with the Rev.  Lester Krum

Jan. 13, 1965—Aug. 27, 2015

Lester Eugene Krum II, 50, of Grove City left this life to be with the LORD on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015. He was born in Ironton on Jan. 13, 1965, to Lester Eugene and Sandra Krum.

He was a graduate of South Point High School Class of 1983. Lester worked for Mars Pet Care on Fishinger Road for 13 years. He enjoyed swimming, caring for his home and yard, NASCAR, his beloved German Shepherd, Mr. Mac, and most of all his grandchildren.

He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 14 years, Sally Krum; stepchildren, Angela Faye Johnson, of Gallipolis, Crystal Dawn (Mike) Vanscoy, of Grove City and Misty Anne Facemire, of Gallipolis; stepgrandchildren, Jade (Josh) Burleson, D.J. Johnson, Drew and Madyson Vanscoy, Jake Facemire and Malari Bainter; parents, Lester Eugene and Sandra Krum, of South Point; sister, Michelle (John) Morrelles, of South Shore, Kentucky; nephews, Alex and Issac Morrelles; nieces, Cassie and Sophia Morrelles, of South Shore, Kentucky; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services will be today at 1 p.m. at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3020 Broadway with the Rev. Buddy Perdue officiating. Friends may also call on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with funeral service following at 1 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with pastor Kenny Hurst officiating.  Mildred Stewart

Mildred Stewart, 86, of Proctorville, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at home. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

 

Goldie Curry

Goldie Blevins-Curry, 101 of Russell, Kentucky, formerly of Columbus, died on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, Kentucky.

Graveside service will be at noon on Wednesday at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens with pastor AJ Williamson.

Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods is in charge of arrangements.

Carol Lewis

Carol Lewis, 65, of Proctorville, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland.  She is survived by her husband Victor Lewis.

Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville by pastor Tom Jones.

Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
