Born in South Bend, Indiana, with no arms or legs, motivational speaker and comedian Brett Eastburn will speak in the Bowman Auditorium at Ohio University Southern Thursday at 7 p.m.

“I knew I had a message I wanted to communicate to society,” Eastburn said. “Even though I don’t have arms or legs, I’ve accomplished all of my goals in life and there’s no reason you can’t either. It’s all about having the right attitude.”

Eastburn said most of his time in high school he didn’t know how to get his message out until he had a teacher who helped him get started with what he wanted to do.

“I worked with him and learned the ropes of speaking and getting my message out,” Eastburn said. “Six years later in the year 2000, my wife and I started our own business, No Boundaries Inc.”

Through No Boundaries Inc., Eastburn has traveled all over the United States and many countries around the world including Japan, Panama, Switzerland and Aruba. He has spoken to schools, churches, the military and police police departments.

“I’ve been a motivational speaker for more than 23 years and have conducted more than 3,500 programs and presentations,” Eastburn said. “I’m a comedian on the side and because I’m a comedian, I make my presentations quite entertaining.”

Eastburn will also have copies of his book, “I’m Not Missing Anything,” available for $20 which he can also sign at the event.
