Ladies 9-Hole enjoys Guest Day

PINE GROVE — Guest Day turned into the best day.

The Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club held its annual Guest Day with outstanding success.

The day began with a breakfast business meeting followed by some outstanding weather provided by Mother Nature and then capped with an enjoyable buffet luncheon.

Breakfast Hostess: Pat Lambert who also presented the awards. Event pairings: Pat Riggs.

Event winners were:

Lowest Score: Pat Chamberlin and Diane Chamberlin;

Longest Putt on No. 1: Betty Fraley;

Closest to the Pin on No. 8: Pat Lambert;

Longest Drive for Women on No. 4: Betty Fraley;

Longest Drive for Men on No. 4: Pat Chamberlin;

Mulligans: Betty and Lonnie Fraley.

Other Attending Couples: Connie and Randy Chamberlin; Diane and Pat Chamberlin; Dora and Dave Carmon; Joyce and Jerry Fields; Georgia and Carlos Willis; Rose Auble and Marty Lewis; Joyce and Ralph Lewis; Betty and Lonnie Fraley; Pat and Doug Lambert; Sharon Fox and Ed Eldridge; Pat and Jim Riggs.

The club expressed its thanks and appreciation to Lynn and Burl Bunker for decorating with a full theme and for all their work during the season to make the many early mornings more enjoyable, and to groundskeeper Cliff Jenkins and his crew for their work to kept the course in outstanding playing condition.

The annual Christmas dinner will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 8. Members should bring a gift to the dinner that will be held at the Bellefonte Country Club.
