Just like the weather, the Ohio High School Athletic Association computer playoff ratings are always changing.

This week’s OHSAA computer ratings continued to see teams move up and down with a few staying the same.

The Rock Hill Redmen (4-2) were idle last week and remained fifth in Region 17 of Division V with a 10.3611 average.

The Redmen visit Ironton (3-4) this week, host South Point (2-5) and travel to Fairland (0-7) for their final three games.

The Ironton Fighting Tigers are lodged at No. 16 in Region 17 of Division V but have two big point games ahead after getting a key win over Coal Grove last week.

Ironton hosts Rock Hill before visiting Chesapeake and South Point.

In Region 21 of Division VI, the Chesapeake Panthers were again nestled at No. 5 in the region.

The Panthers (6-1) have a 10.0188 average and are still in good position to qualify for the postseason. Chesapeake has Portsmouth (3-4), Ironton and Coal Grove (3-4) to close out the season.

The Coal Grove Hornets lost last week but are sitting at No. 12 with a 6.0491 average. The Hornets are still alive in the playoff picture but need to win their final three games against Chesapeake, Fairland and Portsmouth.

The Symmes Valley Vikings (4-3) have climbed to No. 9 in Region 25 of Division VII with a 4.6224 average.

The Vikings can not only qualify for the playoffs but move up in the ratings with wins in their final three games.

Symmes Valley plays at South Point, hosts Sciotoville East (5-2) and travels to Northwest (4-3) to close the season.

The top eight teams in each region of each division qualify for the playoffs.
