Man dies in Sunday stabbing
COAL GROVE — Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into a fatal stabbing on Sunday.
At approximately 8:10 p.m. a call was received that an individual had been stabbed in the leg. Upon arriving at 506 Marion Pike in Coal Grove, Coal Grove Police Department found a male subject who had been stabbed in the upper torso, according to a release from Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless.
EMS took the individual to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he died.
Coal Grove Police asked the sheriff’s office to take over the investigation.
“We are in the very early stages of this investigation,” Lawless said. “This appears to be a domestic situation and the public is in no danger.”
