Patty Haas

March 3, 1946 — Nov. 8, 2015

Patty Faye Haas, 69, of Ironton, passed away Nov. 8, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Haas was born on March 3, 1946, in Hillsboro, Kentucky, a daughter to Thelma Lucille Medding Bradley and the late Curtis Bradley. She is survived by her husband, Lester “Lee” Haas, whom she married Dec. 30, 1964.

Mrs. Haas was a 1964 graduate of Boyd County High School and was a clerk for over 30 years for Columbia Gas/Nisource, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and attended Heritage Baptist Church in Cannonsburg, Kentucky.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by son, Jerry Lee Haas; and two sisters, Lillie Mae Fannin and Gloria Kay Ross Johns.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by daughter, Melissa Dawn Haas, of Ironton; son, Scott (Rae Lynn) Haas, of Ironton; three grandchildren, Brandon Haas, Misty Dawn Sloan and Charlee Ann Haas; and great-grandchild, Skylar Sloan.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Ed Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday until time of the service at the funeral home. David Mullins

June 18, 1952—Nov. 10, 2015

David Lee (Moon) Mullins, 63, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at his home.  The Ironton native was born June 18, 1952, a son of the late Cecil and Virginia Pierce Mullins. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Howard Mullins of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, whom he married May 30, 1999.

Mr. Mullins was a 1970 graduate of Rock Hill High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked in the cable television industry for over 33 years.  He worked “in house” for several different cable companies for many years and later was a self-employed telecommunication contractor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Mullins.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Crystal Mullins, of Ironton; a son, Sean Mullins, of Pine Grove; a stepdaughter, Christen (Mitchell) Adkins, of Kitts Hill; a brother, Bill (Sharon) Mullins, of Ironton; four grandchildren, Tristen Davis, Kayson Adkins, Adyson Adkins, and Cohen Adkins; three great grandchildren: Lilly Swartz, Landon Swartz, and Lincoln Swartz; one nephew, Dan Mullins and 1 niece, Tia (Codee) McKenzie; and three great nephews, Aiden and Ryker McKenzie and Bryson Mullins

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Dave Schug officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery and visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Dell Toping

LaVerne Thomas

LaVerne Fox Thomas, of Ironton, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, after an extended illness. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements entrusted to Tract Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home.

 

Brenda Webb

Brenda Crager Webb, 62, of Chesapeake, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, in St. Mary’s Medical Center.  She was the wife of Sid Webb.  Funeral service will be noon Saturday at Getaway Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Getaway Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home and two hours prior to the service Saturday at the church.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.schneidergriffin.com.

 

Emil Daniel

Emil “Byrd” Daniel, 77, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Janet Daniel. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, with pastor Michael D. Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville.
