PROCTORVILLE — The Proctorville Kroger has donated to a nonprofit which provides health resources to the needy in the region.

The store recently gave $200 to The Cause, Inc., which will use the funds to buy food, fuel, and books for the organization’s activities.

“Our purpose is to be an advocate for the sick in our community,” Stacy Medcalf, the group’s co-founder said in a news release. “We assist patients and their families in getting the services they need and foster awareness of diseases.”
