Campbell, Ohio down CSU

CLEVELAND (AP) — Antonio Campbell scored a career-high 23 points — his second straight 20-plus game — with 10 rebounds to help Ohio defeat Cleveland State 76-67 on Saturday.

Jordan Dartis added 15 points, on five 3-pointers, and Jaaron Simmons pitched in 13 points with seven assists for the Bobcats (5-3).

Despite hitting 10 of 21 3-pointers, Cleveland State (2-7) shot 44 percent from the field (26-59) and committed 15 turnovers. Ohio scored 16 points off turnovers.

Rob Edwards and Andre Yates led the Vikings with 17 points each — both career highs. Demonte Flannigan, who’d put together back-to-back 20 point games, was held to six on 2-for-8 shooting.

Ohio trailed for the first 14 minutes before Dartis tied it with a 3-pointer and the Bobcats edged ahead for good, 36-34, by halftime.

Ohio opened the second half on a 7-2 spurt and pushed the lead to double-digits on another Dartis 3-pointer with 15:59 left.
