COLUMBUS (AP) — A group that helps veterans and members of the military is making new suits and accessories available at a Columbus-area shopping mall thanks to an anonymous donation.

The giveaway at the Shops of Worthington will be Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that the H.E.R.O.E.S. Care Support program received a donation of nearly 300 men’s suits, 400 dress shirts and dozens of ties, belts and pairs of shoes. An Ohio National Guard captain says the suits are primarily intended for Sept. 11-era service members who are seeking civilian employment or will soon be leaving the military.

Capt. Mitch Stafford of Upper Arlington says a new suit might help reduce stress for those transitioning from the military to civilian life.
