WAVERLY — This is one of those games for File 13.
Nothing went right for the South Point Pointers on Saturday as they lost 64-35 to the Waverly Tigers.
“We didn’t do anything. It was our worst game of the season. Waverly did a good job and we just didn’t play well,” said Pointers’ coach Travis Wise.
The Pointers shot just 14-of-48 from the field for 29 percent. They were 4-of-15 from the 3-point line for 27 percent and only 3-of-10 from the foul line.
Elijah Adams scored 17 points including four 3-pointers and Tayshaun Fox added nine points to lead the Pointers (6-10).
Waverley had four players in double figures. Trey Rigsby scored 16, Cade Marquez and Mason Chapman 14 each and Jake Henderson had 10.
Waverly led 15-7 after the first quarter and then opened up a 37-13 halftime cushion.
