PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Now that’s the way to celebrate your first starting assignment.

Former St. Joseph All-Ohio guard Hannah Miller got her first college career start on Saturday against Pikeville University.

Miller celebrated her personal milestone by scoring the first 10 points of the game and getting a team-high 21 points to lead the Shawnee State Golden Bears to a 70-64 Mid-South Conference win.

The 21-point performance match Miller’s career high. She scored 21 points off the bench in the first game of the season.

Miller scored 40 seconds into the game and followed with a pair of trifecta and SSU was up 8-4. She then made a pair of foul shots for a 10-4 lead.

Shawnee State is 20-3 overall and leads the Mid-South with an 8-1 record.

Miller is a pre-med student with a 4.0 GPA the first semester.
