Level 2 Snow Emergency Issued

According to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, a level 2 snow emergency has been issued for Lawrence County.

“In speaking with the County Engineer, they hope to make serious progress on the roads by mid morning” Sheriff Jeff Lawless reported on Facebook.

A Level Two Snow Emergency means that roads are hazardous (including primary roads) with blowing and drifting snow a possibility. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be on these roadways. Employees should contact their employers to see if they should report to work.
