Deloris Anne Martin

Aug. 8, 1942 — Feb. 12, 2016

Deloris Anne Martin, 73, of Kitts Hill, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Lawrence County native was born Aug. 8, 1942, a daughter of the late Clifford and Eunice E. Williams Willis. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Martin, whom she married Nov. 10, 1961.

Anne was a graduate of Coal Grove High School and a homemaker. She was a member of the Leatherwood Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Willis.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, John Martin Jr. and Jim (Kathy) Martin, all of Kitts Hill; a daughter, Kimberly (Jeff) Martin-Towell, of Wheelersburg; a stepgrandson, David (Deana) Booth; grandchildren, Robert and John Thomas Martin; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Leatherwood Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Huff officiating. There will be no public visitation and Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Norma Doughman

Oct. 6, 1931—Feb. 12, 2016

Norma Jean Doughman, 84, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at her residence. The Kitts Hill native was born Oct. 6, 1931, a daughter of the late William Henry and Stella Eva Wilson Morris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jonas Joseph Doughman, who passed away in 2000.

Mrs. Doughman was a 1949 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ironton. She was a former basketball maker for Wilson’s Sporting Goods in Ironton, a former employee for the Ironton City School System and a greeter for the Super Wal-Mart in Cannonsburg, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Naomi Lee (Earl) Clark, Betty Lou Morris, and Hilda Faye Morris; brothers, David (Wanda) Morris and Robert L. Morris; and brother-in-law, Norman Hardy.

She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Ann Doughman of Ironton; three sisters, Evelyn Hardy of Kitts Hill, Mary (Donald) Betts of Willow Wood and Geraldine (Charles) Walters of Ironton; and two brothers, Bill (Carla) Morris of Kitts Hill and Glendon (Janice) Morris of Assaria, Kansas.

She is survived by a niece, Stacy Reese, and nephews, Tyler and Bryce Walters, who thought of Norma as a grandmother and she is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home with pastor Eric Barnes officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.  Visitation for friends and family  will be from noon until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Harold Lunsford

Harold Dennis Lunsford, 92, of Huntington, West Virginia, died at his home on Feb. 4, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jones Lunsford. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary, and will be followed by a funeral conducted by the Rev.
