HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Huntington WV Area Habitat for Humanity will host 14 students from Boston College the week of March 7-11, and 10 students from Johns Hopkins University the week of March 14-18, to help build homes for families in need of affordable housing in our community. The students are participants in Habitat for Humanity’s national alternative spring break program, Collegiate Challenge.

“We are pleased to once again have students from Boston College and Johns Hopkins University joining us for Collegiate Challenge,” said Nikki Hagerman, Huntington WV Area Habitat for Humanity’s Homeowner services coordinator. “This marks the 14th year for Boston College and 4th year for Johns Hopkins University to partner with our affiliate. We are very excited to welcome them back to our community.”

To thank the students for helping local families in need of safe, decent, and affordable housing, Huntington WV Area Habitat for Humanity organizes lunches for the students. If interested in contributing toward a meal – whether making a monetary donation or preparing a meal – please contact Nikki Hagerman at 304-523-4822.
