The St. Joseph Female Flyers opened their softball season on Monday with a 22-5 win over Grace Christian.

The Female Flyers were led by Megan Riley and Morgan Turner who collected two hits each.

Kelsey Malone picked up the pitching win as she allowed five runs on just four hits.

St. Joseph will host New Boston on Thursday and visits Charleston (W.Va.) Catholic on Friday.

The Female Flyers play their home games at the Hanging Rock field beside the Blankenship horse stables on State Route 650.
