Locals artisans and crafters will put their work on sale at an event at Ohio University Southern on Saturday, May 28.

Treasures on the River is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the main rotunda at the school, Jona Younce, one of the organizers said.

Younce, who does stained glass, said the group of 15 artists from the Tri-State area came together to organize events about three years ago.

“It’s a group of local artists who have done the craft show circuit,” she said.

The group has sold work at several events, such as Christmas on the River.

The event at OUS will feature work in several categories, including embroidery, stained glass, crochet, knitting, photography, mosaics, goat’s milk products, painting, woodwork and sculpture.

Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
