Assault — Township Road 1506, Proctorville, May 5, woman reported her 14-year-old son was allegedly spit on and called racial slurs by an 8-year-old girl in their neighborhood.

Burglary — A private drive off 100 block of Township Road 294, Pedro, May 14, crossbow, TV and rifle stolen from residence.

Petty theft — A private road in South Point, May 14, child support and food stamp cards taken; suspect named.

Identity fraud — 300 block County Road 32, Chesapeake, May 14, multiple accounts opened in victim’s name; suspect named.

Domestic violence — 9300 block County Road 4, Pedro, May 14, 15-year-old girl alleged mother hit her repeatedly; suspect taken to hospital after threats of suicide.

Theft — 1100 block County Road 123, Chesapeake, May 15, dirt bike taken from yard.

Petty theft — Wal-Mart, South Point, May 15, man allegedly tried to take items from store; Douglas Baise III, 21, of 2228 Washington Ave., Huntington, arrested.

Theft — 100 Township Road 1160, Proctorville, May 15, laptop, knives and silver dining wear set taken from building.

Criminal simulation — Rich Oil, State Route 93, Ironton, counterfeit $100 bill used at store; suspect named.

Criminal trespass, complicity, petty theft — Wal-Mart, South Point, May 15, man allegedly took items from store and returned them for gift card; on a separate date, man allegedly took items from store, which a female suspect returned; John Sias, 35, of 180 Township Road 1202, Chesapeake, and Kari Ratliff, 33, of 3209 Hughes St., Huntington, cited to court.

Petty theft — 4000 block County Road 31, Chesapeake, May 16, aluminum rims taken.

Petty theft — 1200 block County Road 71, Proctorville, May 16, iPhone 6 and revolver taken.

Disorderly conduct — 300 block Township Road 88, Proctorville, May 16, woman allegedly intoxicated and screaming at family; April Combs, 36, of the same address, arrested.

Domestic violence — A private drive in South Point, May 17, woman alleged husband punched her in the face and threatened to kill her; man alleged wife pushed him and threatened him with a knife; Elizabeth Howard-Hoffman, 44, and Michael Howard, 43, of the same address, arrested.

Possession of drug abuse instruments — 9200 block County Road 1, Chesapeake, May 18, deputy investigating dispute of vehicle in driveway allegedly found suspects at a gas station; pat down initiated; one suspect allegedly in possession of used syringe; David Journell Jr., 35, of 1317 Quarrier St. Apt. B, Charleston, West Virginia, arrested.
