CHILLICOTHE — Now that’s teamwork.

Seth Miller, Ethan Miller Victory Aguilera and Brendon McCormick teamed up to run an 8:44.87 time to win the 4×800-meter relay at the Division III district track meet on Wednesday at Southeastern High School.

The win qualifies the group for the regional meet at Lancaster on Wednesday and Friday.

The top four finishers in each event advance to the regional meet. The remainder of the finals will be Saturday.

Chesapeake’s Cecil Fletcher won the long jump with a leap of 20-10.

In the pole vault, Rock Hill’s Seth Baker cleared 11-3 to win the event. Coal Grove’s Josh Wilson was second at 11-feet and teammate Tristan Wiseman was seventh at 8-6.

Coal Grove’s Troy Hicks threw the discus 117-8 to place eighth.

On the girls’ side, Coal Grove Lady Hornets’ Kayla Curry ws fourth in the shot put with a heave of 33-10.
