Donald W. Bazell, 75, of Coal Grove, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, Kentucky.

He was born May 28, 1940, in Ironton, a son of the late Ross Bazell and Eloise Hilgenburg Bazell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Leibee Bazell; two brothers, Jay and Ray Bazell; a great-granddaughter, Abby French; and a son-in- law, Frank Pritchard.

Donald is survived by three children, David Bazell, Keith (Tammy) Bazell and Cherie Pritchard; a sister, Linda Meyers; eight grandchildren, Shayne Pritchard, April (Shane) Pemberton, Renee Bazell, Brandon (Sarah) Bazell, Amber Bazell, Erik Bazell, Rachel Bazell and Debra Bazell; 10 great-grandchildren, Devyn Pritchard, Darian French, Casey Pemberton, Dylan French, Tyera Pemberton, Allana Pemberton, Nathan McDade, Brycen Bazell, Edward Bazell and Jill Bazell; and a great-great-grandchild, Aiden Pemberton.

Wendy Manuel

Sept. 29, 1970 — May 24, 2016

Wendy Manuel, 45, of Ironton, passed away Friday, May 24, 2016, in Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. Wendy was born Sept. 29, 1970, in Maine.

Ms. Manuel was a homemaker, she loved to read, wood burning, playing games and dragons.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Michael Bronson, Joshua Allen Bronson and Joseph “Ty” Bronson, all of Ironton; father, Allen Manuel, of Rhode Island; brothers, Paul Manuel, of Florida, and Patrick O’Neill, of Rhode Island; and several other brothers and sisters; special friends, Paula and Jeremiah Ratliff, of Ironton, Austin Mays, of Ironton, Keshia Clark, of Ashland, Kentucky, Lea Wise, of Ironton, Nancy Elkins, of Kenova, West Virginia, and Vicki Dooley and Rock Nickel, of Ashland, Kentucky.
