Sheila Wall

Sheila Renee Wall, 48, of Scottown, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born Feb. 7, 1968, in Ironton.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Charlea Madison Wall; her brother, Harold Scott Ross; and her father, Harold Barry Ross. She was a retired dental assistant. She was also an active member of Waterloo Chapter 447 O.E.S. and an active 4-H advisor for Scottown Farmers and Farmerettes.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Wall; one daughter, Chelsea (Joey) Foster, of Scottown; her mother, Barbara Ross, of Willow Wood; two sisters, Kimberly Sites, of Waterloo, and Denise (Kevin) Shuff, of Chesapeake; two brothers, Matthew Ross, of Willow Wood, and Bruce (Toni) Hill, of Coal Grove; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by the Rev. Eddie Salmons. Burial will follow in Wall Family Cemetery, Scottown. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, with the O.E.S. service at 7:30 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

 

 

Helen Stapleton

Helen O. Stapleton, 79, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at the Best Care Nursing Center in Wheelersburg. The Ironton native was born Dec. 9, 1936, a daughter of the late Albert and Anna Willis Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Stapleton.

Mrs. Stapleton attended Leatherwood Schools and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel Lang and Jean Webb.

She is survived by six sisters, Faye (Willis) Ridgeway, of Ironton, Mary (Lawrence) Charter, of Enon, Dorothy ( Kernie) Collins, of Franklin, Evelyn Jones, of Springboro, Doris (Ovie) Jones, of London, Kentucky, and Avice Whalen, of Dayton; a special friend, Rosemary Newman, of Ironton; and a great-great-niece, Deondra Baldwin, of Ironton.

Funeral services will be noon Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Mamre Cemetery and visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Charles Montgomery

Charles Montgomery, 68, of Crown City, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.
