PINE GROVE — It was like a Joey Votto day at the plate. Four winners for five events.

Four different golfers won the five events at last week’s Ladies’ Nine Hole Golf Association at the Ironton County Club.

Connie Chamberlin led the group of winners by taking two events. Others winners were Joyce Lewis, Dora Carmon and Margaret Donley.

Georgia Willis served as the day’s hostess.

The club’s annual Golf Classic begins Tuesday. Also, members are invited to participate in the Franklin Valley Invitational on Sept. 17.

The Ladies’ Nine Hole Golf Association meets at 9 a.m. each Tuesday for a brief business meeting and breakfast treats. Golfing events start at 9:30 followed by lunch and the awards presentations.

Joyce Lewis is this week’s hostess.

New members are always welcome.
