Ironton-Wheelersburg tickets now on sale

Tickets for the Ironton at Wheelersburg football game will be on sale in the Ironton High School main office starting at noon on Wednesday.

Tickets are $5 in advance and at the game. Tickets are $4 for seniors and students in advance but $5 at the gate.

Friday’s game begins at 7 p.m.

 

 

 

K of C hosting band at open house on Friday

The Ironton Knights of Columbus Council 1405 will host the band “Corbin & Louie” from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday.

The event is open to the public. Admission is $5 per person.

 

 

 

Oak Hill to sponsor

men’s softball tourney

The Oak Hill Oaks’ baseball team will sponsor a men’s 18-and-older double elimination softball tournament Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1-2, at Oak Hill High School.

Fee is $160 per team. Tournament is open to the first eight teams to register. Awards given to first- and second-place teams.

Proceeds benefit the Oak Hill baseball team.

Annual Ironton benefit golf scramble Aug. 27

The annual Ironton High School golf scramble will be held on Saturday at the Oaks Country Club.

The scramble will have a 9 a.m. shotgun start and offers prizes for first, second and last places. Door and contest prizes will also to be awarded.

Entry fee is $200 per four-man team. Entries may be made by mail using the entry form. Teams may also register the day of the event.

There are still some spots available.

Checks should be made payable to the Ironton Athletic Dept.

Hole sponsorship fees are available at $100.

SNYS to host annual

benefit golf scramble

Special Needs Youth Sportsmen, Inc. (SNYS) will host its fourth annual benefit golf scramble on Sunday at Silo Golf Course located in Lavalette, West Virginia.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the many outreach programs of SNYS, such as annual fishing and hunting outings, as well as other outdoor events for special needs youth.

All activities conducted by SNYS are free to special needs participants and their parents.

The scramble will begin with a lunch for golfers at 12:45 p.m. The shotgun start will begin at 1:30.

Prizes will be presented to the first, second and third place teams. Other prizes will be given for hole in one, longest drive, longest putt, and closest to the pin.

Ironton season football tickets now on sale

Ironton Fighting Tigers’ season football tickets are now on sale for the 2016 season.

Ironton features five home games including four Ohio Valley Conference games. All games begin at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $37 per seat and checks should be made payable to the I.H.S. Athletic Department.

Fans should include a self-addressed stamped envelope. If a large amount of tickets are ordered, please apply extra postage. The postage should cover the weight of the order.

Fans should make sure to add a phone number with their order.

CKCC hosting youth

volleyball league

The Ceredo-Kenova Community Center Volleyball League will conduct a fall league for any girls living in the Tri-State entering grades 1-6.

Fee is $40 per child and $35 for each additional sibling.
