Judith Truesdell

June 14, 1939 — Oct. 12, 2016

Judith Esther Nicely Truesdell will be sadly missed by her loved ones, but has entered her heavenly home on Oct. 12, 2016. She was born June 14, 1939 to Ray and Gertrude (Adkins) Nicely. Judith was the wife of Lloyd Truesdell; mother of Lloyd Michael Truesdell, of Ironton; grandmother of Michael Ray (Marty) Truesdell (Hannah), of Greenville, South Carolina; sister of Jerry (Wanda) Nicely, Jim Nicely, of South Point, and Terry (Debbie) Nicely, of South Point; and the aunt of several nieces and nephews.  She had a special friend Hansel Truesdell.
Preceding her in death was her parents, Ray and Gertrude Nicely; her husband, Lloyd Truesdell; and her brother, Jerry Nicely. She was a former member of Abundant Life Baptist Church and current member of Tri-State Baptist Temple.
Pastor Don Irby and her grandson, Michael Ray Truesdell will handle the funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point. Visitation will be one hour prior. Kathi Lawless

Kathi E. Lawless, 62, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center-Ironton Campus. The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 3, 1954, the daughter of the late Bill and Helen Taylor Boyer. She is survived by her husband, Faron L. Lawless, whom she married on Jan. 21, 1984.
Kathi was a graduate of Coal Grove High School and a former LPN at River Valley Hospital, where she retired after 27 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to crochet, read and spend time with her grandbabies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Boyer; and
her sister, Janette Boyer.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Lee Lawless, of Ironton, and Todd (Joelle) Boyer, of Kitts Hill; her daughter, K. Elyse (Ralph) Branam, of Ironton; her sister, Karen (Paul) Harrison, of Clinton, Tennessee; her brother, Dale (Sue) Boyer, of Ligonier, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Trevor Lawless, Hunter Branam, Todd Boyer and Victoria Boyer.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home with pastor Sammy Cooke officiating. Burial will follow in Langdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Leon Ramey, 100, of Athalia, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Abbyshire Place, Gallipolis. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by pastor Randy Henderson. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Miller. Linda Kay Delaney, 64, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.
