Both Chesapeake Panthers’ senior Derek Lemley and Coal Grove Lady Hornets’ junior Alex Gillette finished 28th among 72 golfers in the Ohio High School Athletic Association state golf tournament.
Lemley posted a two-day total of 170 at the Sunbury North Star Golf Club. He shot identical rounds of 40 on Friday and followed that with a 90 on Saturday with rounds of 44 and 46.
Gillette finished with a 173 total with scores of 85 on Friday and 88 on Saturday. She shot 44-41 on Friday and 45-43 on Saturday on the Ohio State University Gray Course.
