Pamela Cantrell

Dec. 24, 1946 — Jan. 4, 2017

Pamela Kay Pierce Cantrell, 70, of South Shore, Kentucky, passed away, Jan. 4, 2017, at her residence. She was born in Dayton Dec. 24, 1946, a daughter of the late Raymond and Cynthia Meyers Pierce. Pamela was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness on Sept. 21, 2014, and was very active in her faith.
Surviving are her husband, Roger Cantrell; one daughter, Carrie Keaton, of Raceland, Kentucky; a very special person and sister-in-law, Patty Phillips; one brother, Michael Pierce, of Seattle, Washington; one sister, Debbie Easterling, of Ironton; one grandson, Cody Chinn, of South Shore, Kentucky.
Services will be conducted by the family at a later date. Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be left for the family at robersonfuneral.com.

Vernon Henry

Vernon Henry, 87, of Proctorville, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Guyandotte Baptist Church, Huntington, by pastor Paris McSweeney. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery, Milton, West Virginia. Ellis B. Shepherd, 78, of Kenova, West Virgnia, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Shepherd. Arrangements are pending at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point.

Betty Lou Ward

Betty Lou Ward, 74, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at home. She is survived by her husband, Lowell Ward. Sandra Davis

Sandra Jayne Davis, 75, of Coal Grove, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Daryl E. Davis. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Todd Warner officiating.
