Sandra Davis

June 1, 1941 — Jan. 4, 2017

Sandra Jayne Davis, 75, of Coal Grove, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Kenova, West Virginia native was born June 1, 1941, a daughter of the late Charlie and Lillian Robinson Ross.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Daryl E. Davis, whom she married Nov. 21, 1958.
Mrs. Davis was a 1959 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and a former billing clerk for the Lawrence County General Hospital. She was a member of the Ice Creek Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed taking care of her family and her two grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Ross; mother and father-in-law, Daryl and Helen Davis; and a niece, Amy Ross.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Becky (Terry) Miller and Leigh Ann (John Mark) Wilson, all of Ironton; two grandsons, Lucas and Chad Campbell, of Ironton; one granddaughter, Abigail Wilson; two sisters, Joyce (Paul) Dillon, of Crown City, and Nancy (David) Davis, of Cardington; a brother, Gary (Linda) Ross, of Ironton; and a special cousin, Janice Blevins, of Kenova, West Virginia.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Todd Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Lana Darlene Spears, 50, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at home.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, West Virginia.

Ellis B. Shepherd, 78, of Kenova, West Virginia, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn W. Shepherd.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at England Hill Free Will Baptist Church, Catlettsburg, Kentucky, with pastor Willie May and special friend Larry Thompson officiating. Dolores Jones

Dolores Dawn Jones, 61, of Ironton, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. She was born Nov. 26, 1955, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Lester and Cindy Broncho Waddell.
Her husband, Donald K. Jones; and a brother, Lester William Waddell also preceded her in death. She formerly worked for Ohio University and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Santina Jones, of Rincon, Georgia; two sons, Ryan (Christina) Jones, of Kitts Hill, and Justin Jones, of Ironton; four grandchildren, Lakynn Jones, Aron Jones, Ethan Crabtree and Hunter Jones; and a brother, Joseph C. (Vinnette) Waddell, of Ironton.
