HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — If the Ironton Fighting Tigers’ wrestling program needed a shot in the arm, the got four inoculations on Saturday.
The high school and middle school program is in just its second year but got booster shots from four wrestlers at the annual WSAZ Tournament last weekend.
Ryan McClain led the Ironton quartet as he had an impressive sixth-place finish in his weight class.
Dalton Crabtree finished 11th for Ironton while Rocky White and Matthew Davis both finished 12th.
Held at the Big Sandy Arena, the WSAZ Tournament features the top wrestlers from three states.
The sectional tournament for Southeast Ohio teams is Feb. 24-25.
