ROME TOWNSHIP — The Wyngate at RiversEdge will host a sock hop on Saturday.

Activities director Julie Poff said the event at the senior living community will feature 1950s and 1960s music and costumes.

“Everyone will be dressed up and each table will have a 3-foot banana split,” she said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

The event, which is free and open to the public, is set for 11 a.m.-1p.m.
