PROCTORVILLE — A group of teens is being thanked by the village of Proctorville for their hard work on Friday.

Mayor Richard Dunfee said about 25 students from Justin Barry’s junior government class at Symmes Valley High School spent the day helping to clean up the village.

“They went over the river bank, they cleaned things up, they repainted the slides and playground equipment and they put down mulch,” Dunfee said.

He said the students started working at 8 a.m., on their first day of spring break, and continued throughout the day.

“They deserved accolades,” Dunfee said. “You often can’t find kids who will take the time to do that kind of hard work.”
