Judith Schwab

Dec. 4, 1950 — May 5, 2017

Judith “Pete” Schwab, 66, of Ironton, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. The Lawrence County native was born Dec. 4, 1950, the daughter of the late Alvin and Helen Abrams Schwab Hannahs.
Judith was a graduate of Ironton High School and a former cook at Fairhaven Rest Home. She was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Chuck (Buddy) Schwab and Keith Schwab.
She is survived by a sister, Patricia Cartmell, of Ironton; brother, Jim (Kendra) Hannahs, of Chesapeake; seven nephews, Steven Cartmell, Bill (Michelle) Schwab, Scott (Jeannie) Schwab, Chuck Schwab, Chad Cartmell, Trevan (Alyssa) Hannahs, and Seth Schwab; five nieces, Becky Schwab Stapleton, Stephanie (Skylar) Thompson, MiKayla Hannahs, MiKayla Schwab and Savannah Schwab; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Jim Hannahs officiating. The family would like to invite friends to the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. to visit until the time of the service. To offer condolences to the family, please visit

Margaret Ellen Swick, 91, of Proctorville, died Monday, May 8, 2017, at River’s Bend Health Care, South Point.
A celebration of life service will be 6 p.m. today at New Hope United Methodist Church, Proctorville. Visitation will be 5-6 p.m. today at the church. A graveside service will be noon Friday at Lost Creek Cemetery, Clarksburg, West Virginia. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is in charge of arrangements. James E. “Eddie” Ball, of Chesapeake, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Earls Ball.
