Rosemary Imes
April 12, 1934 — May 27, 2017
Rosemary Imes, 83, of Ironton, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice, Portsmouth. The Ironton native was born April 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Homer Woodburn Sr. and Sophia Rist Woodburn.
Rosemary attended Ironton Schools and was of the Protestant Faith. Mrs. Imes was a loving and generous person who took great pride and joy in her family. She lived in the Dayton area for 34 years, where she belonged to several artist co-ops before returning to Ironton in her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Allen Imes; six brothers, Richard Woodburn, Willard Woodburn, Homer Woodburn Jr., Jack Woodburn, Frank Woodburn and Bobby Woodburn; and four sisters, Helen Woodburn Perry, Dorothy Woodburn Galion, Janice Woodburn Davis and Norma Woodburn Barron.
She is survived by the love of her life for over 63 years, her husband, Bennie Foster Imes Jr., who she married Dec. 22, 1953; a son, David Lee (Bettina) Imes, of Fairborn; a granddaughter, Lauren Nicole Imes, of Cookeville, Tennessee; a great-grandson, Brodie Andrew Holman, of Cookeville, Tennessee; a sister, Reita Woodburn Jones, of Denver, Colorado; and a brother, Edward Lee Woodburn, of Ironton.

Barbara Vincell
July 3, 1939 — May 27, 2017
Barbara Ann White Vincell, 77, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. She was born July 3, 1939, in Ironton, the daughter of the late Celces and Effie Addis White.
She was a homemaker who loved baking and sewing. She was a 1958 graduate of Waterloo High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald White, of Las Vegas, Nevada; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lola and Wilmer Vincell; and a brother-in-law, Arnold Reynolds.
Barbara is survived her husband, Donald W. Vincell, whom she married March 24, 1962. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two sisters, Sharon (Stephen) Jenkins and Juanita Lang, of Ironton; and three brothers, John (Frankie) White and Ron (Sue) White, of Ironton, and Dale (Gloria) White, of Kitts Hill. She is also survived by one additional sister-in-law, Bertha Reynolds, of Pedro, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Todd Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton. Sylvia Parsons
July 9, 1941 — May 28, 2017
Sylvia Jane Parsons, 75, formerly of Ironton, died Thursday, May 28, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Janie was born July 9, 1941, in Ironton to Pearl Eileen Porter Dalton and George Thomas Dalton.
Janie graduated from Ironton High School, class of 1959. She was a local business owner/operator of Guys N’ Dolls beauty shop. After retirement, she resided in Delaware, Ohio with her family. Her interests included card games, swimming and cooking for large crowds.
Jane is survived by her husband, Frank Parsons; daughter, Amy Cherry; son, Chris Parsons; grandson, Robert Cherry; and granddaughter, Hannah Cherry.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Chad Pemberton officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home, and burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton.
